Just as Windows is different from Mac OS X, so too are the phone environments that we use every day, both from a user’s standpoint and from a developer’s standpoint. This series will take you through some of the differences with Project Manager, Peter!

iOS

Every platform requires distribution to be managed through their own account. iOS requires an Apple iTunes Connect account (associated with the business) and an Apple iOS Developer Account (associated with the business/developer). There are two different types of distribution: Enterprise ($299/year) and Apple App Store ($99/year). Those will be discussed later in this document.

Registration for the developer account is found here:

It is imperative that your development team has access to this account before development begins.

Android

Google Play

Android makes this much simpler. You only need to sign up for a publishing account for a flat fee of $25 (paid through Google Wallet).
